VOD library

VOD library consists of two tables:

  • Uploaded files - video, audio and closed captions (substitles)
  • VOD assets - streamable assets created in VOD module from uploaded files

To switch between the tables please select the tab at the top of the page

Uploaded files

The first tab lists all files uploaded. The table consists files of three types - video, audio and text (closed caption).

The table can be navigated using search, sorting, or page-by-page.

  1. Search bar - type at least 3 characters to trigger searching. Search window is located at the top-right corner above the table
  2. Sorting - click the column title to sort table items by its parameter. The next click will change between descending and ascending order
  3. Page-by-page - navigate through table pages by using left and right arrows in the bottom-right corner, underneath the table. If you wish to change the number of rows displayed on each page, use the ‘Rows per page dropdown’.

Managing uploaded files

Uploaded files can be managed in several ways:

  1. ‘View file’ page - click the Title, ID or pencil icon to open the ‘View file’ page. Here you can:
  • view all the details of the uploaded file change the file title
  • copy the file ID - use the copy icon (placed on the right side of the ID field)
  • delete the file - use the red ‘Delete file’ button in the down-right corner
  • transcode the file - click the ‘Transcode’ button. It will take you to the ‘Transcode to VOD’ page with preloaded information about the chosen file. To learn more about transcoding process go to Create VOD section
  1. Delete file(s)
  • click the trash bin icon
  • select one or multiple files using checkboxes in the first column and click ‘Delete’ button above the table
  • via ‘View file’ page - as mentioned in point 1.d. above
  1. Selected for transcoding - select files you want to transcode and click Transcode to load Transcode page with preloaded selected files

VOD assets

The second tab lists VOD assets created in the VOD module.

List of VOD assets

The table gives an overview of all VOD assets transcoded from uploaded files. The table can be navigated in the same way as the table with Uploaded files.

VOD asset details

VOD asset details page contains:

  1. Asset parameters (Title, ID, Output profile, Duration, Modification date, Status)
  2. List of source files
  3. Endpoints

Endpoints' number and type depend on the output profile selected for transcoding. The endpoint link points to the video file manifest and can be used to stream VOD asset in the video player.
