Create Recording

Learn how to create recordings from your live channels, define time ranges, and generate playback-ready assets in the Recorder module.

The Create Recording page allows you to define and generate a recording based on a live channel and selected time window. This is useful for capturing past live events.

Recording Configuration​

To create a recording, fill in the required fields and configure the recording parameters:

Basic Information​

  • Title (required)
    Provide a descriptive name for your recording. This will help you identify it later in the Recording List.

  • Channel (required)
    Select the live channel from which the recording will be created.

  • Output profile (required)
    Choose an output profile that defines how your recording will be processed and which streaming format will be generated.

Time Range Selection​

Define the exact segment of the live stream you want to record:

  • Start time (required)
  • End time (required)

You can set these values using the date-time pickers or by typing the date manually (format: YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss).

Player Preview​

Before creating a recording, you can preview the selected segment directly in the player.

To load the preview:

  1. Fill in Channel and time range
  2. Click Preview on player

The player will display the selected portion of the stream, allowing you to verify:

  • Correct time range
  • Stream availability
  • Content accuracy

The preview will not be available until channel name and time range are selected.

Quick Time Controls​

The page provides convenient buttons for controlling the preview video:

  • Set NOW as start – sets the current time as the start of the recording
  • Set NOW as end – sets the current time as the end of the recording
  • -10m / +10m – moves the preview video by 10 minutes
  • -15s / +15s – moves the preview video by 15 seconds

Creating the Recording​

Once all parameters are configured:

  1. Verify the title, channel, output profile, and time range
  2. Optionally preview the recording in the player
  3. Click Create recording

After creation, the recording will appear in the Recording List and can be further managed or played back.
